Hey buf, let me take you on a little story of how my lazy weekend afternoon turned into a satisfying food adventure. I’m talking about none other than Dallas Café & Bar, a chill yet classy spot tucked right at Marina Bay Sands.

The plan was simple: good food, a little drink, and an ambiance that lets you pause time for a moment. And Dallas gave me exactly that.

The Story Behind the Spot & Why It Stands Out

Dallas isn’t some random pop-up bar by the water. This place has been around for quite some time, known for its modern bistro-bar concept that blends the comfort of Western favorites with a relaxed riverside or waterfront vibe. Their original location is at Boat Quay, sitting beautifully along the Singapore River and the second one is at Marina Bay Sands, where I went.

What makes Dallas special isn’t just the food or the view, it’s the balance they hit between casual and premium. You don’t feel underdressed walking in with your weekend outfit, but at the same time, you can totally bring your colleagues or friends for a classy night out here.

It’s the kind of place where beer drinkers, cocktail lovers, and foodies can sit at the same table and everyone walks away happy. That, buf, is not an easy thing to pull off.

The Menu & the Happy Hour You’ll Want to Join

If you love a place that has both great food and drinks, this is where it gets interesting.

Dallas offers a varied menu with hearty burgers, pizzas, sharing platters, pasta, and steaks. But here’s the fun part: their Happy Hour starts at 11:30 AM and runs all the way to 8:00 PM.

Yes, you read that right. From lunch to dinner, you can sip on cold beers, a refreshing glass of wine, or spirits at special prices. Imagine sipping a chilled beer while looking at the waterfront skyline… absolutely perfect. A few highlights from their menu: Signature steaks (especially the Tomahawk), Salad, Burgers, various pizza (a crowd favorite), Sharing platters for groups, and An impressive selection of drinks — from craft beer to cocktails and wines.

Their menu has that comforting “bistro favorite” vibe, but with a generous hand on flavors and portions. And if you’re a happy hour hunter, this place might just be your next go-to.

Ambiance & Vibes: Chill, Classy, and a Little Bit of Vacation

The first thing that hits you when you step into Dallas at Marina Bay Sands is the view. The café-bar is set right at the waterfront, giving you front-row seats to the Marina Bay skyline.

It’s got this clean, modern interior with a mix of cozy seating and outdoor tables that let the breeze flow through. On weekends, it has that unhurried vibe like everyone decided to take a break from rushing somewhere.

If you sit outside, you’ll get a direct view of the bay. And as the sun sets, the lights from the surrounding buildings reflect on the water, turning the entire scene into something out of a movie.

Inside, it’s equally inviting warm lighting, a well-stocked bar, and music that sets the mood without being too loud. It’s a sweet spot whether you’re coming for drinks with friends, date night, or just solo chill time.

What I Ordered

1. Lamb Burger 🐑

When I saw “Lamb Burger” on the menu, it was a done deal. I love a good burger, and this one caught my eye because it came with a lamb patty, cucumber, cheese, mint yoghurt, and aioli. It’s served with Dallas fries and coleslaw on the side.

And buf… this was really good.

The lamb patty was thick and juicy, with that rich, meaty flavor that lamb lovers know so well. The mint yoghurt gave it a light, refreshing contrast and it cut through the richness of the meat perfectly. The aioli added that creamy, garlicky note, while the cucumber brought a nice crunch.

Everything in this burger just clicked. You know when a dish isn’t just ingredients thrown together but actually thought through? That’s what this felt like.

Also, the portion was generous. One burger can easily be shared between two people if you’re also ordering other dishes.

2. Pepperoni Pizza 🍕

Next up was the Pepperoni Pizza, topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, and black olives.

Now here’s the thing: pepperoni pizza is one of those classics that can either be meh or wow. And this one was on the wow side.

The first thing I noticed was how generous they were with the toppings. Every bite had a satisfying amount of pepperoni and I mean a lot. The mushrooms added a nice earthy flavor, while the olives gave that subtle saltiness that tied everything together.

The crust was thin and crisp, letting the toppings shine without being doughy or heavy. This was one of those pizzas that just makes you go silent for a bit while eating because you’re too busy enjoying it.

Location: Marina Bay Sands Branch

Dallas has two main branches Boat Quay and Marina Bay Sands but I went to the MBS location, which is honestly perfect if you love dining with a view.

This location is a bit more laid-back compared to the Boat Quay one, making it great for casual afternoon or sunset dining. Plus, after eating, you can walk along the bay and enjoy the night lights. It’s one of the prettiest walks in Singapore.

Buf Final Thoughts

If I had to put it into words, the entire experience at Dallas Café & Bar felt like one of those slow, comforting afternoons you don’t want to end. The lamb burger honestly stole the spotlight for me. The patty was thick, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, while the mint yoghurt and aioli added layers of flavor that made each bite balanced and refreshing. It wasn’t just a burger; it was a carefully thought-out combination of elements that worked in harmony. And then came the pepperoni pizza loaded, generous, and indulgent in the best way. Every slice had just the right amount of pepperoni, mushroom, and black olives, making it the kind of pizza that satisfies without even trying too hard. On top of that, the portions were surprisingly big, perfect for sharing with a friend. Add Happy Hour drinks that stretch from midday to evening, and it becomes the kind of casual dining experience that quietly exceeds your expectations.
