A Cozy Coffee Break at The Stolen Cup, Jonker Street

Buf, let me tell you about my recent little escape to The Stolen Cup while wandering the colorful streets of Jonker Street, Melaka. I had heard about this charming café from some locals and knew I had to check it out myself it’s the perfect spot for a coffee break after a long stroll.

A Hidden Café Gem in Jonker Street

The Stolen Cup has built a reputation as one of Melaka’s must-visit coffee spots. Established in 2017, this café mixes vintage charm with modern coffee culture, creating a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that’s both relaxing and Instagram-worthy. The interior is cozy without being crowded, featuring wooden panels, soft lighting, and quirky vintage décor that makes you feel like you’ve stumbled upon a secret little hideout in the heart of Jonker Street.

What’s even cooler? They make and sell their own Gula Melaka, both in blocks and syrup form. I couldn’t resist taking some home it’s just that good!

What I Ordered (and Loved!)

Here’s what made my coffee break unforgettable:

1. Blueberry Chocolate Croissant

Oh Buf, this was a dream. The croissant was flaky and buttery, and the filling so generous literally spilled out when I cut it. Every bite was bursting with sweet, fruity chocolatey goodness.

2. The Whisky-Laced Tiramisu

Smooth, creamy, and just the right hint of whisky that tickled my taste buds without being overpowering. Truly a sophisticated dessert experience.

3. Gula Melaka Latte

Sweet but balanced, with the signature Melaka touch that makes it unique. Not too sweet and have some smoky aromatics from the Gula Melaka.

Perfectly brewed, not too milky, smooth, and just comforting.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the café feel even cozier. I couldn’t stop noticing the small touches the overflowing filling in the croissant, the subtle whisky in the tiramisu, and the fact that they sell their homemade Gula Melaka, which I happily bought to bring home. Altogether, it made me think: I will definitely be coming back here on my next Jonker Street adventure.
